I’ve worked in the isotope business for more than 40 years now, but my journey with TMC started during a family camping trip many years ago, when a conversation with my father planted the idea of building something of my own. After decades of working in an environment that encouraged innovation, that seed of independence led to betting on myself and starting a company that could achieve commercial success while being fun, fascinating, and able to make a difference in people’s lives. Thanks to a little luck and a lot of perseverance, that bet has led to a life that feels like a never-ending vacation—but the most stressful vacation you could imagine taking! I feel very fortunate I get to go to work smiling, knowing that I’m stepping into a workplace that’s wonderfully and scientifically cool. 

This path hasn’t been easy—there were moments when it felt like everything could fall apart. Yet, each time we faced a challenge, the right opportunity seemed to fall into place. It has been an incredibly fulfilling journey. In part because of what we’ve built but mostly because of the people who have come along for the ride.

Much of the company’s history has been built by a handful of brilliant and dedicated folks. Yet, as we have grown from a small, close-knit team into much larger ambitions, we have worked hard to ensure that same sense of purpose and collaboration is kept alive. At the heart of this company are promises we made—to create a place where people love what they do and feel proud of what they’re producing.

It’s not just about building a business. It’s about building an environment that is meaningful: a place where people feel valued, respected, and inspired. And it’s those people – our team – that are paving the way ahead.

As we look to towards the future and the challenges we may face, we no longer must wait for the right opportunity to appear. Now, this special team of curious scientists and persistent tinkerers are ready and capable of solving them with collaboration and ingenuity. We have our aim set on being the global leaders in what we produce, and we excited to be assembling the team who can make that happen.
